Amarar Thiru.M.A.KRISHNASWAMY,
A.M.I.S.E., M.I.C.E. (U.S.A). F.I.M.I., founded the 'Krishnaswamy
Educational Trust' with the motto 'Knowledge is Power' in 1965.
Recognizing the necessity of educating all children, irrespective
of caste, creed and economic status, he formulated a well thought
out admission policy for admitting the children belonging to various
economic strata in the society.
Under the name of this Trust, he started a chain of schools at various
parts of the Chennai city on self-financing basis: Nungambakkam
(Estd. 1965), Anna Nagar (Estd. 1973), K.K.Nagar (Estd. 1979), Ashok
Nagar (Estd. 1984), Villivakkam
(Estd. 1986). All these institutions are fully-grown Matriculation
& higher secondary schools and are recognized by the Board of
Matriculation Schools, Government of Tamil Nadu. |
